Colgate’s senior management actively supports the work of our Global Business Practices function, which oversees compliance with Colgate’s Code of Conduct and Business Practices Guidelines. In 2001, Colgate created the Global Business Practices Advisory Council to guide strategic efforts to reinforce Colgate’s strong culture of operating in an ethical business environment. The work of the Advisory Council includes:
Overseeing the development of training programs designed to communicate and promote Colgate’s policies regarding ethical business practices
Developing processes to identify and eliminate business practices that may adversely impact Colgate’s reputation
Recommending for inclusion in Colgate’s pay-for-performance programs individual and team objectives that reward efforts to promote ethical business dealings
Benchmarking best practices of other leading companies
